Medical Cards & GMS patients

For those living in CHO6 and eligible for GMS/medical card, vasectomy is free of charge. Covering areas like Dún Laoghaire, Dundrum, Sandyford, Bray, Greystones, and the wider South Dublin and Wicklow region – and have a valid GMS (medical) card, you might be able to have your vasectomy free of charge under the HSE scheme.

Eligibility depends on a few factors, including your exact address and medical card status, and it does need to be confirmed before we can proceed. Our team is happy to discuss your eligibility directly.

Health Insurance including Irish Life

If you're an Irish Life Health member, you may be eligible to claim up to €360 back on your vasectomy, depending on your plan.

Tax Relief

You can claim 20% tax relief on medical expenses, including your vasectomy, if you cover the cost yourself. This applies to:
✔ Your own medical expenses
✔ Expenses for a family member or anyone else you’ve paid for

However, relief cannot be claimed for costs covered by:
✘ Insurance policies
✘ The HSE or any public authority
✘ Compensation payments
